Proverbs 16:3

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

You have a big decision to make. It’s either this college or that one. And you know that making the right or wrong choice could affect your entire career path. You’ve spent so much time weighing the pros and cons of each, but you’ve forgotten one very important thing—have you asked God what he thinks? Sometimes we get so caught up in planning and doing what we think is right that we completely forget to ask the one who orchestrates our paths.

But what if God doesn’t have my best interest in mind? Newsflash: He always does. He created you, and loves you, and He wants you to succeed. He isn’t sitting up in heaven making people fail because it’s funny. He has amazing and wonderful plans for your life, but you need to slow down enough to listen to what they are. If you’re feeling like it’s hard to hear what God’s plan is, take some time to realign yourself with him. Go on a long walk and just pray and listen. God has a plan and he wants to tell you what it is.
