Have you ever felt that you were poor? Have you ever felt that if you just had that one thing everything else would fall into place in your life? You wouldn’t need anything else. Well, that is until that next great thing comes along, right? We live in a society that keeps telling us that more is better. There is a famous bumper sticker that reads, “The one who dies with the most toys in the end wins!” Is this true? Is the more we have what brings us happiness? Matthew 6:23 tells us to “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you.” So one question remains, what’s enough?

QUESTION 1. What does it mean to put God at the center of your life?
QUESTION 2. How does having Christ as the center of your life affect your financial situation (whether you are rich or poor)?
CHALLENGE: The secret to living a content and joyful life is to have Jesus as your center. If you choose to make Jesus the center of your life today then whether you are in poverty or prosperity it will matter very little. Why? Because in Christ you will have found your meaning!
