Mark 16:15

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

When you think about Christianity what comes to your mind? For many, being a Christian is really just about going to church on Sundays. For others, being a Christian is about knowing who Jesus is and what he did on the cross; but is this all that Christianity is? While going to church and knowing Jesus and what he did on the cross is an important part of being a Christian, that’s not all Christianity is about. Christianity is also about following Christ’s teachings to love and to go into the entire world and preach the gospel. Christianity is also about sharing the good news of what Jesus Christ has done for all those who will believe (John 3:16). We have to put ourselves in situations that are sometimes very uncomfortable, and we must be willing to face ridicule from others, even our friends and family. Jesus never said it would be easy, but he did tell us to go out into “all the world” sharing the good news about what he did on the cross and how he defeated death itself for all who believe.

QUESTION 1. Are there people that you know who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Make a list. Out of this list, do you have any people you would call good friends who don’t have a relationship with Christ?
QUESTION 2. Have you taken the time to follow Jesus’ command in Mark 16:15 to share the gospel with those who do not have a relationship with him? If so, how did it go? If not, why not, what’s stopping you?
CHALLENGE: Jesus died on the cross, paid the price for our sinfulness, and resurrected from death itself. This is nothing short of amazing! We challenge you to stop waiting around for just the right moment; put yourself out there and go out and tell the world about it!
