Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

You never know when God is going to use you to touch someone’s life. Your agenda may say, “Got to run to the post office, get these groceries, then grab lunch with a friend,” while God’s agenda may say, “That’s all great but there’s this homeless man who you’re going to walk by. I want you to give him some of your groceries and talk with him.”

Every day that we wake up and draw breath, God has something for us to do or someone to love. We are his hands and feet and we have to always be ready and willing to put a halt on our agendas and take up God’s agenda. Sometimes it’s hard to know what God has for you in any given day, that’s why it’s super important to dig into God’s Word and really know his heart. Also, just praying and saying, “God, I give you my day; show me what you have for me,” will help reveal his will as well as create an open and willing heart in you. There is your flawed and selfish agenda, and then there is God’s perfect one; which would you rather follow?

QUESTION 1. Do you plan out every detail of your day leaving no room for God to use you?
QUESTION 2. Do you spend time getting to know God better through prayer and his Word so that you can better know his heart and plan?
CHALLENGE: God’s Word is alive. Dig into it and see where He leads you.
