Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!'”

There is a wise saying that “one should never despise small beginnings.” So often we tend to push and push and push for some great vision of who we want to be in the future that we often forget about who we are right here and right now. Don’t get twisted, it’s good to have a God size vision, but we can’t forget about what God can be doing through us right here and right now. When Jesus walked upon this earth he had an awesome vision for the world’s future, but if you look closely at his life, he never neglected the here and now. Jesus took time to love and connect with people every day. Like Jesus we too need to seek out the little opportunities that come our way. If we do, God will bless us and will multiply his ministry through us.

QUESTION 1. Have you ever thought about what vision God has for your future? What are some of your gifts and passions? How can you use those gifts and passions for his glory and your future together?
QUESTION 2. Having a vision and using your gifts and passions to further the Kingdom of God is great, but what can you do day to day to share God’s love with others around you? How can you share God’s love every time you come into contact with someone (without being cheesy) today?
CHALLENGE: Christ took time to connect with people every day, whether on a street (Matthew 9:35), at the side of a well (John 4), or up in a tree (Luke 19). God runs most ministries on a one by one basis, and, honestly, that’s where most lives are touched. Our challenge to you is to think big but go small by seeking God for the little opportunities that come up each day; opportunities that will enable you to share his love with all those around you.
