Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Whenever I get fearful of doing something God calls me to do I always go back to the story of Joshua. He was just a normal guy who God suddenly called to lead his people into the Promised Land. That’s pretty scary, if I do say so myself. Joshua had all sorts of doubts and said it was impossible, but God laughs at impossible because with him all things are possible (Matt. 19:26).

We love placing limits on ourselves, saying that we’re not good enough or talented enough. When we do this we’re saying that God isn’t big enough to take care of us, or that he can’t do it. Do you really believe that? Then why do you live as if it’s true? God has no limits, so stop placing them on him.

God has called us to live crazy and bold lives, but so often we live comfortable and quiet lives because we’re too scared of what God will call us to do. Stop being fearful and trust that God will use you to make the impossible possible.

QUESTION 1. What limits have you placed on yourself or God? What do you think you’re not good enough to accomplish?
QUESTION 2. Was there a time when God did the impossible through you?
CHALLENGE: Have the courage to step into God’s best for you and do what you believe is impossible, because I promise you, it is not.
