Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do…and he will show you which path to take.”

Have you ever made decisions in your life that you wished that you could take back? If only you could go back and change our past choices. If only you wouldn’t have chosen to sleep with that boyfriend or girlfriend. If only you chose not to drink and then drive that night. If only!

Proverbs chapter 3 talks about giving God everything. It talks about placing God at the forefront of your decisions. God doesn’t want you to have to look back and say, if only! Don’t get it twisted, He can use your past for His greater good, but He would rather you listen to Him in the first place as He loves you and calls you to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16).

QUESTION 1. Where is Christ in your decisions? Is He a part of your life?
QUESTION 2. Are the decisions you’re making for you or for you and God?
CHALLENGE: The next time you have a decision to make, take a step back and think about placing God at the center of your decision. Ask yourself if your decision would be any different if you put God at the center. Don’t look back at your past and think, if only … let God lead you today!
