Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

How often do we throw God in a box and take what we think his will is for our lives and throw it in there, too? Too often. Not much can happen in that box; it’s cramped, it’s stuffy, it’s restricted. It’s also incredibly hard to trust God and live an epic life when we’ve made him so small and limited. God’s actual plan for your life is much bigger than your tiny box. His plan for you is huge, exciting, and probably completely different from what you had in mind. His plan is so big that your box is bursting at the seams and can’t possibly hold it in anymore.

A few chapters later in Isaiah 55:8 God tell us that, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.” You may think that you have it all figured out and you may even be seeking guidance from God, but you’re seeking the God that you’ve put in an itty-bitty little box. His ways and thoughts are so much better than ours. Let Him out, destroy those walls and limitations you’ve put on your life and God will use you to do mighty things for his kingdom.

QUESTION 1. Have you limited yourself and limited God by placing your life and him in a box? Be honest with yourself.
QUESTION 2. Is there something that you know the out-of-the-box God wants you to do, but you’re scared to pursue it for fear of failing? Give the worries about your future to Him.
CHALLENGE: Open your box. Allow the calling He’s placed on your life to blossom and set you free, and watch as He uses you as an effective tool in His kingdom.
