Psalm 139:13-14

For you formed my inward parts; you wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it very well.

So many of us have such deflated views of ourselves and our abilities. We think because we aren’t popular enough we can’t do this or that, or because we don’t have enough experience we could never lead anyone. So we relegate ourselves to doing some half hearted job because that is all we’re good for. This is a lie of the enemy. Of course he doesn’t want you to live your full potential in Jesus Christ because then he’d lose.

God made you to be the absolute perfect you. He didn’t make you to be a Brad Pitt, or Tim Tebow, or Jennifer Aniston. You are uniquely you. God formed each of us special and says that each person is fearfully and wonderfully made. We aren’t accidents and God didn’t skip over you when he was handing out skills and abilities. He doesn’t make mistakes.

You have abilities that are unique and special to offer this world for God’s kingdom. Have you figured it out yet? If not, spend time asking God to show it to you and he will be happy to show his child the gifts he gave. Once you find those gifts, don’t hide them. Use them to spread God’s love to every corner of the earth.

QUESTION 1. Do you feel like God may have skipped over you when he made you?
QUESTION 2. What are you good at? What do you truly enjoy doing?
CHALLENGE: Find your passions and gifts that God has already given you and use them to serve him, not to earn his love but because he first loved us.
