Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Have you ever thought about your personality type? For example, do you find yourself to be more of an introvert or extrovert? Contrary to what most people think, an introvert is not simply a person who is shy. You can actually be an extravert and still be shy. An introvert is someone who is energized most when they get some time away from others. On the other hand, an extravert gains most of their energy from being around others rather than being alone. Whether we are an extravert or an introvert sometimes we all need to find some time to be alone with God and just enjoy him one on one.

QUESTION 1. Have you ever felt that you just need a little space to unwind, to gather your thoughts and get a little peace and quite? Jesus often took time to be alone with God. Why do you think Jesus made time in his busy ministry and life to be alone with God (e.g. Mark 1:35)?
QUESTION 2. Do you feel that it is often difficult to find the needed space and time to be alone, resting and relaxing with God?
CHALLENGE: We challenge you to find your quite place. Maybe it’s in your room, your backyard or somewhere else. Meet God in that place and enjoy the R&R and peace of God moving in you and through you.
