Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every circumstance, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Throughout our lifespan we will come across many hardships. It’s simply a part of life. How you deal with those hardships is up to you. Paul tells us that God’s peace transcends all understanding, which means that we will never fully grasp how he is going to use it or how he’s going to present it to us, but the good news is that he will always find a way to grant it!

Sometimes in life we feel alone. We feel depressed, as if no one cares about our circumstances or us. More often than not, we get anxious and we panic rather than turn our circumstances over to God. But today, we challenge you to look towards God and his promise of “peace” to you in those moments. Through prayer, petition and offering Him thanks even through the hardships, God’s peace will always find a way into your heart if you allow it.

QUESTION 1. Are there any areas in your life that you could really use some peace from God? What are they?
QUESTION 2. Have you ever asked God to grant you peace in your circumstances regardless of what they are? If so what happened?
CHALLENGE: It’s hard to find peace in some of our circumstances. Many of our hardships have nothing to do with our own doing, but there is hope! We challenge you to really turn yourself and your circumstances over to God. Trust and have faith in the creator of the universe to grant you peace and be ready to experience God in a whole new way!
