VISION

STEVE GRABOSCH

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but happy is he that keeps the law.”

Jesus was once asked which of God’s commandments was the greatest. Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36-40).

God has a vision for your life, and it is a vision of love! It is a vision that has you fully integrated into what He wants you to do. God calls everyone to love, and with no exceptions. If you choose to step out in faith, love and seek God first, God will show himself to you and he will illuminate your path and give you a clear vision. Listen to God’s nudges upon your life. Don’t harden your heart and go to Him now; He’s calling you.

QUESTION 1. Have you ever understood God’s call upon your life as simply loving him and loving your neighbor? How have you shown your love to God and your neighbors lately (explain)?
QUESTION 2. In what ways can you make a real effort to love God and your neighbor (e.g. serving others through random acts of kindness, getting involved in your church, reading your Bible regularly, praying, etc.)? Make a list of things you can do and follow through with them.
CHALLENGE: We challenge you to step out in your faith today. Don’t wait, and dive into the Scriptures. Spend quality time with God in prayer. Love the one and only God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbors as yourself!
